This short block has external mounting for solid state ignition magneto armature. If you do not require an alternator for lights, this short block is in good-usable condition.

New head gaskets are included.

The engine itself is still a good low hour to use as replacement. The block has one issue - see photo 4 mounting post for alternator coil under flywheel is broken off this was used to power headlights on snow thrower. Crankshaft measures inches long inch.

Minus the alternator coil for lighting. The original Craftsman engine model no. Can also use as replacement for some HMS-90 snow king engines. Removed from a 9 hp Craftsman snow thrower.
