Just because a spindle assembly spins freely does not insure the housing isn't cracked or that there some other defect concealed within will cause premature failure. Don't take the chance on a used spindle assembly only to find that its not much better than what you already have. Cleaned up and ready to be primed, painted, greased put work.

There are also some aftermarket spindle bearing assemblies being sold, which is yet another Buyer Beware situation as these manufactured in China of inferior metals.
